For the info :The BRS (blue ribbon sport) ad of 1973 introducing the Oregon waffle for the first time adopts the following copy "Oregon, the state that brings you Mt Hood, Crater lake, considerable rust and Nike sport shoes, is proud to present its newest attraction, the Oregon Waffle"
This was the first shoe on the ,market to install the waffle sole , and was a revised version of the Nike Moon shoe its prototype.
The first real color of the Nike Oregon waffle was red with a white swoosh Nike wanted the public to know their new sole technology :)
Keep in mind those two colors , were adopted as university of Oregon ! we do not have a pic of the Nike waffle racer red white sorry , maybe someone from Nike will kind to send us one :)
